Synoquin Cat, our leading joint care supplement for cats aids stiff joints and promotes mobility.
Synoquin Cat contains Dexahan, a unique source of Omega 3 Essential Fatty Acids. Omega 3 are an excellent supplement to add to your pet’s diet as they have lots of health benefits and are often used to aid in the management of joints. Dexahan is a concentrated source of krill, a tiny crustacean with an especially big nutritional benefit!
What Else Can I Do?
There are a number of measures you can take that can support your cat’s quality of life
Keep your cat fit and at the correct weight by feeding an appropriate diet. Excess weight can put extra strain on a joint, increasing the risk of damage. Speak to your vet for advice on feeding or weight loss diets
Provide a soft, comfortable and draught free bed
Minimise the need for your cat to jump and go up and down the stairs
Place litter trays, pet beds and feeding bowls in separate locations and at heights that can easily be reached
Many cats with joint changes may not be able to groom themselves effectively. Regular grooming will help them maintain a healthy coat condition
Feeding Guidelines
Synoquin comes in tasty capsules which can be fed whole or opened and mixed with food. It may require an initial loading programme, after which the daily intake can be reduced to maintenance level. This will depend on your cat’s response and you should consult your vet for guidance specific to your cat.
Guidance
Initial programme (6 weeks):
2 capsules daily in the morning and in the evening
Maintenance programme (long term):
All cats respond differently to supplementation. However, in general, after the initial loading programme the daily intake can usually be reduced to 1 capsule per day.
